This is Passion for Christ! Give 4 minutes of your time…you need to listen to this, christians:

For Him:

Definition: Gabrielisation is the ongoing process by which God is increasing in becoming the only source of strength in Gabriel and Gabriel is decreasing in depending upon himself. Gabrielisation reaches its climax when Gabriel becomes as a matured man in Christ Jesus and fulfills the fullest potential that God has given him.

I’ve been going through a rather rough period in my life. It seems as if many things are falling apart. First, it is my relationship with Sharene that has been extremely difficult to continue recently. Second, godly brothers and sisters are leaving my congregation. During this period, it is so easy to cry out to God and ask Him “Where are you?”

Speaking to Bingxin over sms this morning was both a encouragement and a saddening moment. I was encouraged to learn of how God has been working in His life and that He is increasing enjoying the sweet presence of the Lord in the spirit. But it is so sad that He is doing so in another church.

Song of Songs 2:7, 3:5 - ‘Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field; Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires’

Most guys who are in their teens would dream of a love so pure. They would dream of getting girlfriends and loving them for the rest of their lives. That was my dream probably 5 years ago.

I would say this dream continues on even till today, when I am in a relationship already. I guess I did not understand why we both were going through so much pain until yesterday when the meaning of this verse (but not the verse itself) was impressed upon my heart.

Yesterday, I learnt something about love. I learnt that love isn’t a magical moment as advocated by Disney Cartoons, nor is it a impulse advocated by Hollywood movies. But I learnt that love takes time. It takes time to grow; it takes time to develop; it takes time to blossom.

I recall, a few months back, I was singing the song, Spirit touch your church, as a response after a sermon.

Here’s the song:

When I came to the chorus, “Spirit touch your church , stir the hearts of men, revive us Lord with your passion once again“, tears were welling up in my eyes as the words of the song suddenly became a cry from my heart for my youth congregration. The words became to represent a prayer or a response to this burden that God has impressed upon me. Since then, I have been sharing this burden with a few people and also praying about it with Sharene.

And yesterday at church service, that happened. The word of the Lord returned and the holy spirit convicted hearts once again. It was like God was proving Himself as a response to all the prayers for the congregation. We prayed, “Lord show us people are passionate for You in this church. Is there no one who would stand up for You?” and yesterday, Meltee shared her passion for the lost with us. And after the service, Janice came and told me that I should share what I learnt from the worship workshop yesterday. Sharene told me that she sensed a change in people. Yes, I sensed that change too. People were beginning to seek the Lord and His will. People were beginning to honour God as they should once again.

The Lord answers prayer! He proved it yesterday! It was like in Revelation 8: 3b-4 that says “He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayer of the saints, went up before God from the angel’s hand.” The prayers of all the saints, all of our prayers will go up to the Lord in heaven.

It would be easy, really, for me to say that this stirring of hearts happen for only one day and afterwards, people will go back to their normal lives. It would be really easy to believe that.

But now, God has showed me the power of prayer. He showed me that He really answers all prayers. No matter how bad the situation looks externally, it doesn’t look as daunting anymore, because God is higher and more powerful than anything there is.

My Life’s Verse

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by Faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20
